The Dark Knight 2008
The narrative wasn't as cohesive as the first film, thematically it's far more complex. It has some messianic messages, however I think them too subtle and there is too much darkness in comparison to light.

I love this movie. It makes me feel like I'm living in the early 1800s on a proud and daring vessel, facing some of the trials of the sea. I love the calm between battles, the ship community and drama, the exploration and discovery. The surgery bits give the discomfort of war and makes one feel even more like they're on the ship.
