  Mickey 17 made not only nervous but giggle a few times. There’s quite a number of societal based criticisms the film highlights that are evergreen but VERY applicable to the current political climate. The biggest highlight for me is Mark Ruffalo’s performance because it was honestly not what I expected. Overall, very much worth it to watch it in the theater.

  I kinda need Robert Pattinson to continue to play silly, little guys. Preferably animated.

  Really glad this was the first film I watched this year. It was really entertaining and visually stunning. I loved how they opted for a more painterly, storybook style as opposed to realistic rendering; it gave the film more charm in my opinion. The story and characters were a lot more fun and engaging to watch. Also, I'll admit that the film having two antagonists--one for the story and one for Puss's character development--was something I really like. Overall, a THOUSAND or any sort of multiple of 10 times better than the first iteration of Puss in Boots.

  I thought this movie was cute! I wish some of the story beats were a bit stronger but it was pretty solid. I also thought that the advertising for this film did them a great disservice since the main theme was more of an immigration story and a first gen immigrants child’s struggles to uphold what their family sacrificed or to do what they desire to do.

  All in all, a nice lil watch!
