Not a bad film by any means, but the flaws with the writing and overall story are pretty evident from the start of the film. Pacing gets awkward at times (plenty even) situations tend to just happen without much of an explanation for it, and it feels like more of the director trying to service fans with cameos of old supes, comic book Easter eggs, etc, rather than trying to tell a story of sorts. Now in the other hand, it’s got some laugh out loud moments, great chemistry between the cast members, and Ryan Reynolds performance being where it shines as Deadpool.

Blade Runner 2049 2017
Copped this on 4k for the first time. Such a fantastic film, with beautiful color grading, and world-building. Told a story that the first film was unfortunately unable to do and give an unimaginable amount of depth to someone who isn’t necessarily “human.” I wouldn’t have anyone but Denis Villenueve adapt this film the way he did as proven with his previous works, a good story triumphs any sacrifice that has been made to tell said story.

We follow our unreliable and heavily biased narrator being an airhead high school teacher who narrates the upcoming election for student president. Tracy flick happens to be the main candidate for this upcoming election, and things seemingly go smooth until, well….they don’t. The perfect ending to the perfect cartoon. Ed Edd n Eddy had been terrorizing the cul-de-sac for about 10 years prior to the finale, and the writers sure knew how to write a proper ending to this masterpiece of daytime television. It’s redeeming, cheesy, and animated insanity is the reason why Ed Edd n Eddy will go down as top 5 in my favorite cartoons of all time.
