The concept seems ridiculous on paper but somehow it works pretty well, thanks to the two legendary actors. Unfortunately, it leaves a lot of plot points overly ambiguous to the point of frustration. It also doesn’t help that the overall subject matter, in all its vile and mean spirited glory, will deter a lot of casual viewers.

In the movie, a character has their eyes stabbed out. I would’ve paid an extra $10 at the ticket stand for someone to do the same thing to me so I wouldn’t have to watch this garbage.

Godzilla Minus One 2023
This might be the most well crafted Godzilla since the original. The commentary on postwar Japan and nuclear weapons, the depiction of Godzilla as a malevolent force of nature and not just a Kaiju, and the almost soap opera level melodrama. Minus One just screams classic Godzilla.
