While all the actions sequences truly are grand and amazing, I found myself emotionally non-invested in any of the characters except slightly to Lucius. While it was a fun as Hades ride, I think they spent too much time making it as badass as possible and lost a lot of the heart and soul of the original. Overall it was enjoyable, and for a sequel it wasn't bad? But I feel like it could've received much more love and attention to the characters themselves.

I found the movie overall a cliche embracing fun time. Jake Gylenhaal played a very subdued and emotional character, which caused him to appear overshadowed by the aggressively flamboyant Cono McGregor. But nothing were superb. I wish they would've relaxed on the CGI in some of the fist fights, as it caused the otherwise GORGEOUS choreography to appear staged/faked even though it was clear both Jake and Conor practiced very hard. I felt the owner of The Roadhouse was wasted…
