  I went into the movie with fairly low expectations, especially after hearing that Lydia would have a daughter—a choice that, for me, felt completely out of place. It was the most strikingly odd decision in the entire film, and it never really sat well with me. Lydia herself has a solid character arc, no doubt about it. Seeing her as an adult, trying to navigate the complexities of life, was a natural progression for her character, but I couldn’t help…
