I dont think its a bad movie but it did want to fit some really big shoes. Not only on the 1922 and the 1979 versions, but even Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula. It did a good job on conveying the era's zeitgeist and the very difference between the romantic and seducing Dracula and the evilness of Nosferatu. I didn't like Depp's performance although she gets her flowers through her physicality on possession scenes. She doesn't have an "iPhone face" but…
