This is not only my 100th watch for the “100 horror movies in 92 days challenge,” but also my 300th horror film this year. Rarely do I get a film I refuse to rate. But boy, does this fulfill that criteria. Absolutely succeeds at being an ultra bleak film that feels like a gut punch, to the point that I would recommend it to no one. An excellent film that deserves close to five stars in that regard, but due to the ultra niche audience that this will appeal to, I feel like no rating is more fair.

Best predator movie hands down. All of the best parts of the original without any of the cheese and machismo, and the setting was a brilliant choice. Also some pretty cool callbacks to previous films were put in completely naturally and didn’t feel forced at all. Such a shame this won’t see theaters, but here’s hoping it’ll get a theatrical release later on.

Also, just as an fyi because I didn’t realize this was an option until after I finished it, there is a Comanche dub version available for those that want an even more immersive experience.

My waking nightmare is to have somebody make me direct a film on the spot only to release it as “Thederbs bullshit.”
