An awkward Indonesian dork with a mild love for movies... Just kidding, my taste is just not very diverse.

Ah yes, how to make somebody hate the US government in 93 minutes. They broke a man to turn him into a killing machine, and they don't even try to save him from himself. The last few minutes of the film were just absolutely heartwrenching.

Anyways, this is such a well made film. Gets its point across without too much hassle. I really like these sort of films, where every violent action is clearly exclaimed as a step to the wrong direction. Nothing feels glorious.

There's definitely good ideas and beats in the story; despite me feeling very mixed about the whole movie, I did get a bit emotional in the 3rd act. But the movie just feels very bland, particularly in the acting, visual direction, cinematography, and soundtrack. There's a lot of moments where I feel like not having any music would make it work fine, but instead the soundtrack kinda ruins it. And I can say a lot more about the other aspects,…

The new standard of breathtakingly epic blockbuster sci-fi. Not much to say other than it is an absolute audiovisual feast.

Man, this is such a depressing film. I was incredibly aware of how my heart kept sinking deeper and deeper, as the film continues its brutally unambiguous portrayal of a harrowing tragedy. Leo is once again a standout, he might just delivered his best performance yet here. Another expertly made Scorsese flick.
