RIP Lynch. A movie so far ahead of its time. That industrial, atmospheric soundtrack that completely drew me in. And the radiator song so cool and forward sounding it fits into the Pixies live shows to this day. So subjective too, could watch it again today and probably have a brand new interpretation I hadn’t thought of before.
Beautiful but dark documentary about a troubled soul who ended up basically starting an entire genre of music. Would have given this 5 stars but it was hard to watch the parts where he was so destructive to himself and everyone around. I have never been so traumatized by a movie. Anyone who knows what actually is happening in the world right now and knows how the occult uses movies to their ends should never watch this.
Phenomenal watch. Possible strong bias as a Pavement listener for over 30 years but there was not a dull moment in this. Fascinating to see how the band got together and see Gary’s influence from the start. Love the nostalgia seeing the fanzines and remembering the pre-internet days of discovering bands.
