Looking at my rating it's time to address the elephant in the room: he's her step brother and he's like 5 years older than her (she's supposed to be fucking 16 in the film, he's in college). I hate that so so much. The step sibling thing they at least try to justify by stressing that they didn't even grow up together. But the age gap is soooooo bad. I hate it.

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio 2022
I just watched it at the world premiere, and I thought it was alright. Coming from the world premiere, there are a lot of clichés and bad songs in this film, which I saw at the world premiere. It had a nice art style and, apart from Pinocchio himself, some really good voice acting. A lot of those actors I saw at the world premiere.

Oh god. Other reviews have put it much better than me but this was awful representation. Like, Disney-ified awful. Please why can't the trans person be trans just for the sake of it and why does it have to be a weird ass sci-fi plot instead? Why can't that trans person have an actually developed personality? There were some really nice moments in there, I wish they hadn't dumbed it down so so much.
