Denis never fails. My heart was immediately stolen by the breathtaking images and then it was stolen a second time when the theme of the movie became clear. I had always had a love for languages but it had never been so apparent as after this movie. It awoke something in me. Genuinely one of the alien's depictions I appreciate most in all of the alien movies out there, no useless wars, no wanting to steal our resources. They just…

It might be a controversial statement but I prefer this one to the original, I know, crucify me. The breath taking, jaw dropping, mouth watering work Denis Villeneuve did with the framing, the images, the colours is absolutely fenomenal, as his usual. AND THE SOUNDTRACK!!! The deep eerie mechanical sounds of the city, the dense rain, the silence. You can feel his every emotion through the screen, his solitude, his longing for something more. I deeply relate to him and his experiences. A must watch.

I cannot fully convey the love I have for this movie in words. I constantly quote it in my everyday life, it feels so real to me. The green filter is iconic and makes the movie immediately recognizable. It is a mind warping experience that will forever change the way you see the world; your concept of reality will never be the same and you'll be grateful for it. It encourages to always think outside the box and never let society take your life and waste it away.

This is where my immense love for Keanu started 💕.

The first actual sci-fi movie I watched as a child after star wars, the imagery and graphics are, to this day, some of the most well made I have ever seen. The soundtrack is heavenly, it makes you nostalgic for a culture you were never part of. Some might say the "white saviour" storyline is really overdid in the movie industry and I understand that but this movie still holds the title for my first sci-fi love and I'll rewatch it again and again until I breathe my last breath.
