  It was fine. I appreciate the twist(?) at the end? Subversion of the current comic cinematic universe? The ending makes more sense if you saw the Dark Knight.

  I've been coming back to this film every five-ish years. This lastest watch hit me the hardest as I'm nearing my 4th decade. Different than the first time I experienced after renting the VHS from Blockbuster, some Friday afternoon in 98.

  This one line in particular stuck out for the first time, "Figuring things out for yourself is the only freedom anyone really has. Use that freedom. Make up your own mind, Rico."

  The satire and social commentary is pretty obvious in this one. Reminder to myself to go read the book. Another reminder to go finish his other book, Stranger in a Strange Land.
