I decided to check out this 1978 Spanish Giallo because it was directed by León Klimovsky, who worked on some of Paul Naschy's best films.
It’s a solid film, though not exceptional. The direction is strong, the pacing is smooth, and the score is quite impressive. While the bloodshed isn’t excessive, there are enough bloody slashes to satisfy me.
What holds it back from being great is the twist. Within the first 10 minutes, the direction of the story becomes fairly obvious. I was hoping for a surprise, but it didn’t deliver.
Nonetheless, it’s worth a watch for fans of Spanish horror and Giallo alike.
