What do you get when you take a neo-noir book, strip out the neo and then cast good actors? This film.
I could say it was a mixed bag, but that would be unfair. It's well written and acted, with the characters likeable and the mystery solid and satisfying. I certainly don't regret watching this. I wouldn't recommend you watch it, unless with friends that like to riff and a lot of snacks.
