  Léon: The Professional 1994

  Fantastic film, every actor is brilliantly convincing. The beginning, with Leon’s cold introduction immediately creates an atmosphere of fear in his job. Shortly after, every character settles around Leon, whether it’s surviving with him or surviving him. It gets constantly better as it progresses, tension rising as the crooked detective gets closer to Leon. By the end, Leon’s last line is heartbreaking, finally taking out the antagonist because he was fulfilling his promise and commission. Utterly beautiful writing, but the assassin-child dynamic, little weird, and I don’t think I’m the only one with this attitude.
