A director's self-insert, Mary Sue project to rewrite his own past to include him as the hero in a manic pixie dream girl fantasy. As well as, a nostalgia brain worm of the 70s rock scene through such thick rose-coloured glasses, I'm surprised the entire thing isn't colour-graded red. At least then they could warn people of the danger to their brain cells when watching it.
