Something in the Dirt 2022
Intriguing premise starring the writers/directors, this is another great and original entry into the existential horror cinematic universe. The sfx are inventive given the constraints of filming, done during the pandemic, and cultivate a slow-burn thrilling atmosphere. It has quieter moments, which stall the mood a little, but great story and well-executed film otherwise.

Beautifully shot American classic which epitomizes the American flavor of surrealist existentialism. Pairs well with The deer Hunter.

Killer of Sheep 1978
Incredible, unflinching slice-of-life character-driven drama. Lack of a structured narrative leaves the story embedded in the other elements of the film, found in between the edits of a young family struggling in the wake of life, intercut with scenes from a sheep-processing facility where the father is employed. Really great, would absolutely recommend.
