Gripping from start to finish, this limited series is a phenomenal exploration of why a child could commit such an unspeakable act and the reverberating consequences for those touched by the crime. Masterful camerawork, engaging performances. Well worth the watch.

A thrilling journey helmed by the enchanting Ayo Edebiri. Visually stunning from the first sequence to the last, this film draws you in quickly. The dark humor lays the groundwork for the film’s turn to full thriller without overplaying its hand. To my own surprise, all of my questions that bubbled up throughout the runtime were addressed by the time the credits rolled. A truly well-crafted story.

As a first foray into the films of David Lynch, Wild at Heart piqued my interest to dive deeper into his filmography. Laura Dern shines, Nic Cage nic cages. The Wizard of Oz pastiche was delightful and the more dark elements of the story felt handled with care. A funhouse mirror of a romcom that is wrestling with the jaded realities of 90’s culture.

Content warning for heavy SA references and depictions!
