    Seven Psychopaths

Seven Pyschopaths is one of the most bizzare movies I have ever watched. The film follows an alcholic writer, attempting to write a script with only the title of the film, his dog-thief friend Billy played by Sam Rockwell, and quarky accomplice Hans played by Christopher Walken. Despair. Despair is a word I never really associated with Star Wars until The Last Jedi. Death, failure, loss, and regret set the stage for a film that never felt predictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. Every character especially Luke are taken to interesting places, allowing them to grow and change through the course of TLJ's 2.5 hour runtime. The battles are still spectacular, there are still several hilarious moments, and at the end of the day I was left craving more.

A masterclass in visual storytelling and subtitly. Fury Road doesn't beat the viewer  with plot instead focusing attention on it's balls to the wall action scenes that kept me in absolute awe the entire movie. Tom Hardy along with Charlize Theron put in excellent performances with little dialogue. Fury Road is one of the most fun movies I have ever seen that still manages to be an incredible achievement in filmmaking.

    Kingsman: The Golden Circle

    ★★★½

I have never been so torn on a movie sequel. On one hand The Golden Circle is more Kingsman. Incredibly fun over the top action scenes, suave banter, and a great sense of style come in bunches. However, the movie doubles down on some elements of the original that ultimately don't work for me. First off the villian is incredibly interesting with unique motivations but is too unhinged. Case and point scene with the burger is downright disturbing and too…
