How can you describe a movie that aims, and accomplishes, to depict and define something that is indescribable? No words can truly express the unknown and horrific emotions that Come and See arouses. The camera movement is structured in such a way that it guides your mind and heart into the dread-filled darkness of war. Shock and despair follow the viewer in each frame and, I believe, it does not leave after the movie ends.

Martin Scorsese's innate ability to create scenes of intense colour, movement, and liveliness is seen clearly in Gangs of New York, and it is utterly captivating. 1846 New York is believable and alive from the beginning of the movie, and each vivid detail of this city has fully immersed me.
Each detail of the plot is clearly given so that the audience can make connections between the events and the characters' motivations.
