i thought i’d find this too saccharine, too slow, too boring - but the performances kept me engaged the entire time. this isn’t a traditional narrative structure, more a slice of a very specific time of soph’s life in retrospect. I found it interesting how the scenes with callum alone were deliberately at arms length - as though soph has never quite figured out who her father was all these years later. she knew without a doubt that he loved…
