(Extended edition)
Both of us had seen the movies years ago but couldn’t remember anything about them so we’ve decided to embark on the 12+ hour journey of watching each of the extended edition LOTR movies. Considering this movie was 4 hours long, 5 with an intermission, we thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and buildup towards the 2 other movies in the trilogy.
Thor: J.K Simmons is the biggest asshole and hater alive while portraying his character of Terence Fletcher hell bent on the psychological torture of any poor soul who happens to fall in his crosshairs. That being said it’s definitely one of his best performances I’ve seen by him and he totally steals the show.
Kelsie: Very intense, accurate portrayal of what it must be like to be a student musician under immense pressure in a school like “Schaffer conservatory.” Miles teller played a very convincing struggling artist.
Visually stunning I think Miyazaki really hit it out of the park with this one. I had some issues on my first watch following the story along but on my second and third viewing the vision became clear. Hope to see more from this esteemed director in the future.
