Beautifully made, and a feature film debut no less. An enthralling coming of age story about accepting who you are while trying not to compromise your morals along the way (also side note, Brenda Lee I wasn't familiar with your game).
The artistic performance actually impressed me this time around. While it was a bit slow in the beginning, watching those rings lift up and interlock to make the Olympic logo was such a sight to behold. It already feels primed and ready for a future montage. I also loved seeing Sofia Coppola's husband rock out to a big crowd that was singing along with him as well. What really got me though was the L.A. presentation. Everything from the performers to the stunt work just has me excited for 2028. Here's to hoping they can capture the same summer magic that enchanted these Olympic games.
As a conversation starter I think this does a good enough job. Is the death penalty worth it? Can it lead to forgiveness and healing for victims? It puts our justice system into question and I think that's important even if the filmic nature of the doc is a bit straightforward.
