VERY FUN
ROBERT IS A STAR
Brought it down half a star after further reflection because of how disjointed the last 20 minutes is. The Mickey dream sequence and obsession with “sauce” doesn’t have payoff for me and pulls away from the win/resolution.
hell YES!!
I wanted to say this was like Hunger Games but for boys but I loved it too much to be snarky.
So many jaw dropping moments with insane visuals. Balances so many tones in one. Everything in its proper place 🫳🏻🫴🏻
Can’t believe I hadn’t seen this before. Sooo ready for Mickey 17.
In the post Trump 2 world I think it’s kinda gauche to say “we can’t do ___ anymore because of woke” but genuinely it’s fucked up we can’t make movies like this anymore (workplace sexual harassment but fun) because of woke.
Hugh Grant’s personality is at its best. I was giggling and kicking my feet hehe. Wish there were like 20 min minutes in the first act bc it moves confusingly fast but still was having fun
Thank god I was too shy and awkward in middle school play tryouts and didn’t get a part because otherwise I would have been SUCH a theater kid.
I loved Jonathon Bailey, Bowen Yang, and Ariana Grande going into this so it was already going to be a certified banger. Wish the lighting was different during all indoor Shiz shots but hey what do I know! Emerald City aesthetics very nearly made up for it
