What a punk movie. It practically does a cold opening and it’s shocking to say the least. The way this movie ends and begins gets a wow from me if you could guess. Moments of punks versus vigilantes. I was unaware of its existence, definitely worth the time. Has some performances from The Vandals as well, if that’s your thing. Some other band too, I can’t remember. Definitely punk personified but very California minus any armband.

SubUrbia 1996
Another Linklater that I didn’t know even existed. I found it recommended under a film of the same name but I’d say this title was more tame. The cast was consistent and in Linklater fashion he did a good job addressing something close to him. Maybe you don’t want to be the part of the corner club if you think about it. There’s a random mention to the movie that may peak your interest.

Well, I went from watching Paul Dano being a slave driver to him dressing up all ladylike for his newfound dead friend. This movie is like castaway but instead of Tom Hanks rotting on the coastline, it’s a man playing with an intricate corpse.
