jack lemmon the woman that you are
outrageously funny, charming as hell, surprisingly impressive cinematography, and honestly a somewhat tasteful handling of gender expression for a 1950s screwball comedy.

if only my brain could move half as fast as katherine hepburn’s mouth
incredibly slapstick, surprisingly hilarious, and such a fun lighthearted romp. animal actors get a standing ovation from me alone in my room. cary grant is adorable and poor guy can’t get a single word out with the delightful kathy hepburn steamrolling him with her mile-a-minute speech like the diva she is.
also the people falling over gags will never not be funny and this film does such a perfect job with spacing them out so they come at the exact moment you don’t expect.
over all? perfectly fun and silly.
i had never seen this movie (sue me) and when it was rereleased in IMAX i thought it was a sign

long ass movie but i was captivated every single second. it’s been a long time since i've seen a movie be on such an epic scale and perfectly balance the thrill and wonder of science fiction with the heart and intimacy of a family drama, throwing in humor and SEAT GRIPPING suspense. the effects and space stuff? kickass.…
Gonna start cutting off my fingers whenever my friends start talking about dumb shit
