The short of it would be its a too cartoonish and lacks subtlety, with Robert Pattinson the saving grace.
He grounds the whole plot, story, and other characters with his great performance. Everyone around him feels one dimensional and the story lacks a subtlety and nuance that would have strengthened it.
Its still entertaining, with a good cast, but wasn't great, like Bong Joon Ho's other work. Specifically Snowpiercer which has a simple premise and pretty depth-less characters, while consistently entertaining
