Overall it’s such a charming and funny film but if you look a bit deeper and read a bit about the true story it’s a deeply flawed film. Anyway if you take it at surface level and enjoy the unconventional relationship it’s brilliant.

Frances Ha 2012
Ok this was very good. The duality of Frances is kind of funny; at one point she’s spouting absolute brain rot and the next moment something profound comes out. She feels like a very real character but also authentic, not trying too hard to be slightly haphazard.

Gladiator 2000
Romans were mad, pop down the local for a bit of gore. Phoenix plays the deranged tyrannical emperor on but parts are a bit cringey and not very convincing.
A couple of agricultural mishaps, spotted some tramlines in maximus’ barely fields. Not sure he would have had access to a Bateman sprayer in those days. Looked like good yields though, although the weed burden was quite high so probably not off to be malted.Translated from by
