Conclave 2024
The movie could’ve been interesting given its subject matter, but instead it's a rambling story mixed with little plots but no common thread. The ending is just... disappointing, coming out of nowhere . Otherwise, The movie is well shot and Ralph Fiennes plays well, as usual

The Animal Kingdom 2023
I'm surprised by the film's good rating. The 2 hours are long, with many small moments, the story remains quite flat, little dialogue, little music, no emotion felt except a little at the end, a lot of predictive stuff. I'm a bit puzzled by the character of the main character.
It's somewhere between a film d'auteur denouncing certain things and the script of a big American film (pandemic), which is audacious, but I found it hard to get into the movie.
But the costumes/special effects are well done.

Big cuts in the script, for exemple: we go from "would you like to become First Consul?" to his coronation as Emperor in 10 seconds without any explanation!
