I Am Cuba 1964
A truly beautiful film, rich with dreamlike imagery. The camera glides—wide, unbroken, restless—from rooftop pools to Soviet infrared-lit sugarcane fields. Much like a revolution itself, the frames are gritty, jarring, disorientating, but the final product is beautiful.
