This had some truly unsettling moments. Tonnes of front on shots, claustrophobic angles of faces, great use of blocking. I think the overall story arc was a tad cliche, but christ the execution put me on edge.

Just effortless style, class and texture. There's just so much to love here. The crackling introductory soundscape. The overlapping time stream car chase. The signature Denzel delivey. The subtle nods to New Orleans tough history. Even the unimportant antagonist with a 'no rhyme nor reason for his violence' kinda thing works and seems ahead of its time.
I saw someone else describe this as "classy, brash and visionary" and that just sums up my thoughts for what this duo creates together. Tony Scott and Denzel dish out another banger, and I just can't stop watching them work.Translated from by
