An Elephant Sitting Still 2018
It’s all about agony. That agony began since you were born. You think that a new place will change your fate? New place, new sufferings.
The primal human want for freedom and intimacy blatantly amongst nihilism and bleakness. Manzhouli is liberation, but the journey to get there is despairing. One of the most important pieces of cinema I’ve ever seen, especially held close to it’s director Hu Bo, who sadly ended his life shortly after creating this interpersonal masterpiece. An…

ThamePo - Heart That Skips a Beat 2024
it was just so…real. both thame and po weren’t stereotypes with no depth. they were both in this relationship as much as the other. that on top of the excellent production and cinematography - everything felt so natural, surprisingly for a show about idols. MARS’ performances had so much effort put into them that i didn’t skip them, every member/actor was musically talented and it indeed felt authentic. definitely had that KBL vibe.

The Heart Killers 2024
i somehow forced myself to continue. i’m glad jojo finally went back to not taking himself seriously and this time for a BL. i still haven’t fully enjoyed a single firstkhao show but i’m glad this one wasn’t as pretentious and knew that it was ridiculous. kantbison were honestly boring, i only watched for fadelstyle

Love for Love's Sake 2024
so refreshing from all those goofy straight dramas lately. South Korea hit us again with an empathetic LGBT series, but this time with an intriguing plot. they made a “stuck in a video game” concept mature, serious and emotional. the characters are humanistic and well-developed & i love how UNAPOLOGETICALLY gay it is. the story is unique and heavily tied to the natural acting. I fell in love with the cinematography and editing. the colours are beautiful and high-quality - as…
