  I haven't seen the original one yet. Yes this review is invalid.

  Coming from Disney roots, I'd say this is good. Musicality, as it should be, was good. I was sketchy about the Will S. casting but his character proved me wrong.

  The main characters were good but they went passive by the last act of the movie. By this time, the only ones pushing the plot were pretty much Jafar and Genie. Yes, Jasmine and Aladdin were actually there to make their own decisions but I feel like they were lacking.

  Its good. Its enjoyable. Its a musical flick from Disney. What could go wrong?
