All I’ll say is: I’m not sure I’ve seen a film demonstrate true love in so many forms as beautifully as this one. I have no other words.

I couldn’t help but think Tarantino was channeling Woody Allen with some of the throwaway, seemingly-unimportant but well-defined characters in the film. While these characters are brought to life in a decent manner thanks to the top-tier cast, they rarely have anything interesting to say and what they say isn’t half as charming or engaging as you’d hope from a Tarantino screenplay.

Director Adam McKay continues to fight the good fight: bringing untold true stories to life  in an entertaining and uniquely informative way. After seeing Vice today, he’s easily one of my top 5 favourite directors working today, simply because he tackles subjects that many filmmakers wouldn’t dream of going near. Keep it up, Adam.
PS. Christian Bale and Steve Carell are fucking awesome.
