Really wanted to like this film a lot more than I did, but the whole thing didn’t exactly click for me. The concept, world building and a great performance/ performances from Robert Pattinson were highlights. But other than that, the clunkiness of the storyline, way too heavy handed political satire, and some unfortunately underwhelming performances from Ruffalo and Collette left me leaving the theater feeling disappointed. Not a bad movie, but definitely not one I’ll revisit soon.

Favorite political thriller I’ve seen in a long time. Beautifully shot, the drama is driven by a multitude of great performances, and it has a truly gripping score.
The ending feels a little bit narratively forced, but that is the only thing that I think didn’t land near perfectly about this film.
