after mickey 13 these movies have really gone down hill
Robert Pattinson never ceases to impress how well he can embody a role, and while I've never seen him in a less-serious, whimsy role, i think he does a damn good job at dying.
a metric ton of great visuals and impressive atmosphere for most of the scenes, while being very on the nose with Mark Ruffalo's impression and the entire state of affairs aboard the colony ship.
there was also a wilhelm scream, and the baby creatures were very cute. i also would like cohabitate with them in a world written by the Parasite director

REMEMBER YOU ARE ONE
thoroughly impressed with how this movie seems to hit the nail on the head perfectly for what it was going for both visually and narratively. i went into this movie with no knowledge of what i was about to see, and i was stunned (and a lot of the time, disgusted) by what this movie had to offer. The Substance ticks all the boxes and will easily be a cult classic for body horror.
