  If you like this film, you’re either really horny, drugged out or blind to its implications. 

  I had incredibly high hopes for this movie as when I had first learned of this film it was touted as a “feminist” film. However, Belladonna of Sadness is riddled with intense misogyny and situated in the male gaze. I felt so much joy leaving the movie theatre once it was over for it felt that I was burning in my seat from anger…
