hilarious movie, definitely forgot about McDonagh‘a brand of violence but it’s great to see him, Farrell, and Gleeson working together. It is a great topic to explore, the end of friendships and relationships, nice to see a film focus on the smaller parts of the world  instead of how grand every other movie is.

The film serves as a humorous  retelling of an American Classic, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Though the writing is simplest times and the world construction is clearly built around Gottsagen portraying himself, the film still delivers a solid and emotional story that tugs on your heart at the right times. The casting was very well done, highlighted by the complex writing and delivery of Labeouf’s character as he navigates his newfound relationship with Zak. It’s also great that they casted someone with the actual disability portrayed in the movie, representation like this is important especially when it results in a good movie.
