Late Night with the Devil 2023
The AI generated schlock they used really took me out of the immersion. Like I genuinely felt like I was wasting my time with this. is it really that hard to draft up a simple slate? This one problem is a symptom of the grander problem with this flick: lazy filmmakers, inspired, but lazy as all hell.

As a queer person myself I’ve learned one thing from this movie above all. That queer people are so starved of content they will love you and fawn over anything you put in front of them. I’m conflicted cuz on one hand yes I get to see people like me on screen, but on the other the whole thing was pretty awful. Some of it was funny I’ll give it that. But the entire plot felt like a little kid…

I think it’s safe to say by reading some of these reviews that a lot of people had the themes of this movie go entirely over their head. Being dazzled, enticed, and attracted (magnetic not sexual), to the idea of the celebrity criminal is the whole idea the movie satirizes. But at the end of the day as long as you enjoyed the movie I guess it still accomplished its purpose. Personally loved it and if you’re into musicals and all that jazz you HAVE to watch it!

Little Miss Sunshine 2006
The movie definitely took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Somehow I went from kind of thinking of olive as an annoying little kid to rooting for her with all of my heart. Such a cool spin on the typical “road-trip” story that is usually so overplayed. All in all, this movie kinda sorta… kicked ass!
