  one of my all time favorites and a frequent rewatch

  this film definitely is one of the original sparkers of my creator/director self

  notable favorite moments:
  - tom’s unreliable narration/framing
  - the expectations vs reality segment
  - park sing dance moment

  i think its a sign of growth that i see my past self in tom, and i’m giving that version of me some extra grace these days.

  yeah i guess im a dune stan now

  still so good, especially when the plot makes sense. timmy def shouldve been nominated for this over the other one.

  definitely underwhelming to have watched Pt 2 first because in my opinion it blows Pt 1 off the surface of Arrakeen. still very good though and made Pt 2 make a lot more sense
