  on a serious note. this movie really fucking ate. i loved that it was a musical. i don’t really care that zoe saldaña didn’t have a mexican accent and i also don’t care the the director is a sketchy bitch. the story in itself is beautiful and kinda mind blowing when you sit with it. not everything serious has to be so serious. i loved it. i don’t care.

  3.75 - this film belongs with the american girl puberty books. It’s complicated and a bit hard to follow, but also real and weird. it embraces all the good while simultaneously embracing all the bad - i just feel like it could’ve been done a bit better.

Following
