Good thrills, some really cool shots, thousands of rats and constant increase of tension makes this a fun watch. I don’t think its saying very much we haven’t already heard, and i don’t think you should expect it too. Perhaps we’ve desensitized ourselves to the cloak of shame that envelops around intimacy, sex and sexuality, or perhaps its just too direct here. It probably hit different in the 1920s than it does over 100 years later.

I know its biased perhaps looking back but this is SUCH an improvement on the OG series. Much better paced, with really good background and setup. There’s so much more attention paid to the setting up Tokyo III and what living in the aftermath of the second Impact is like.

Probably one of my favourite music documentaries I’ve seen. What a fantastic way to celebrate one of Toronto’s quintessential and influential indie groups. Stephen has such a beautiful eye and I love that this film gets a chance to tell his story and relationship with BSS. It transforms it to something beyond just a documentary; but a history and story of friends who love to play music, and learn and love. Really inspiring.

This is made for theatre kids. And urban planners with too much hubris. I definitely feel like i laughed at too many moments that were not meant to be funny. I think there are alot if really great ideas and incredibly hopeful and promising themes that get lost in a beautiful mess. A for effort on audience participation tho ;)
