Casshern Sins is an anime riddled with flaws that are initially hard to overlook. It's monotonous tone, repetitive hammering of themes and plot devices, sluggish pacing that unnecessarily drags, and thinly-developed characters (in a conventional sense) are all valid (surface-level) criticisms one could spout endlessly. However, if you're able to see past these illusory imperfections, there lies a masterful work of profound philosophical depth and artistic brilliance waiting to be appreciated.
