Engaging, emotional, and profound. All without a single line of dialogue. One of my highlights absolutely was the way the animals’ distinct, fun personalities were portrayed while still making them act like animals first and foremost; little to none anthropomorphic traits and tropes were used.

A dreamer experiences a perfect dream; a dream in the form of a glamorous, romantic thriller. But no dream can last forever, and so the rot (perfectly represented by the scene at the Winkie’s) becomes harder to hide as more and more of it starts to seep through the porous veil of the dreamer’s mind. And when it all comes crashing down, it is no longer possible to escape the ugliness inside and all around them.
