I absolutely loved this opening shot. Seeing the ice on our protagonist’s face. Hearing his breath. Then seeing his “friend” jump down and not help at all but tries to make him suffer instead. Looking to his right he sees what looks like doom then cut and we have a flashback.

I really did enjoy this film. I have heard so much hate on it that I thought it was going to be awful but my expectations were turned around. The animation style was beautiful with only one weird animation in the film that looked weird to me. Most of the characters felt well written with good storytelling, only one or two felt mid in their character writing. Nothing felt rushed in this film to me. Definitely not on the same level as the trilogy but is enjoyable to watch.
