  Director's Cut rewatch

  Not sure why, but this movie works a lot better for me with the longer run time. It feels more melodramatic and over the top in parts, but also feels far more earnestly made than the theatrical cut. I'm honestly not sure how to accurately describe it.

  I really wish this was the cut that came out. I hope more people find it and are able to enjoy it. I feel like this is a super underrated movie.

  This movie had a lot of things it wanted to say and had no idea how to communicate any of it. This is a prime example of "no one knows how to write satire anymore". It feels like things just happen in this movie.

  This is an incredibly hilarious and well animated film. W.B. is absolutely stupid for abandoning this. If they gave it a full push it woulda been a major hit. First time I saw an animated movie with an audience of almost entirely adults since Sausage Party.
