This film gave me the same homoerotic vibes as Fight Club did. The so called romance between Pee-wee and Pee-wee was awkward and forced. Whereas the chemistry between Joe and Pee-wee was very apparent from their first scene together, leading up to Joe’s emotional reaction when he thought Pee-wee wasn’t coming to his birthday party. Disappointed but not surprised
