The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane 1976
The cinematography is stunning. I was on the edge of my seat!!! Jodie Foster was SO good. Also the Mario actor Scott Jacoby? Wowza can't believe he'd go on to be Dorothy's son in The Golden Girls!

This was a great testament on the current struggles and continuous battle of LGBTQ+ people to be seen and understood in a very toxic world where individuality has an issue existing and breathing.
I thought it was fun, silly, and a very good reminder of how far we've come. But also the actors were all super cute and the food fight scene was particularly enjoyable. Well done.

Earwig and the Witch 2020
I watched Goro Miyazaki's new Ghibli film "Earwig and the Witch" and I was pleasantly surprised! The Miyazaki's have always been fans of Diana Wynne Jones (who is one of my favorite authors too!) and so this felt like a true love letter to another one of her amazing worlds she built through her stories.
