  Love it when a movie has six endings. Love it when the heroes triumph over evil and destroy it and things turn out fine and almost everybody survives the whole thing. Love it when the cavalry arrives over the hill and the king leads an epic charge against the baddies. Love it when the Deus Ex Machina comes and sweeps out everybody.   Uruk-hai grade F in basic siege tactics.

  RIP Bernard Hill. Little to say about this one that I didn't say about the first movie, other than what a tremendous battle scene. It's dark and rainy, and yet you can actually see what's happening! There's another fantasy series adaptation that could learn from this. Won't say which. Aragorn might be the coolest fictional character of all time. Also how'd they get away with releasing a movie called "The Two Towers" a year after 9/11?
